A lot of people out in the world don't know where they will spend eternity when they die, and I know there's lots of folks that don't think you can know. Well, this page is here for the sole purpose of letting you know for a fact that you can know!! You really can! And if you'll just read this page with an open heart and mind, you may just find out that you agree with me and that you would like to know for yourself... 1. The very first step in finding out for sure how to go to Heaven is in admitting that you are a sinner. The Bible says in Romans 3:23 that "All have sinned and come short of the glory of God." I can't think of anybody in the world that should have a problem with admitting this. Everyone at sometime in their life has told a lie or thought about something they shouldn't have or taken something that wasn't theirs or made fun of someone or hacked into the Pentagon's computer network (okay, probably not many of you have hacked into the Pentagon's computer network)! Something as simple as exceeding the speed limit on the highway is wrong (and I'm sure from time to time all of us are guilty of that one!) If you have ever even one time in your life done something that is wrong, then you are a sinner. All of us have, because we are all human! Realizing and admitting this is the first step. 2. Next, you must realize that your sin must be paid for. Romans 6:23 says, "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." All our sins are punishable by death and an eternity in Hell. God is righteous, and he can't let any sin into his Heaven. Even one little sin will keep you out of Heaven because God is perfect, and he just can't be around sin. 3. You must realize that Jesus Christ dies on the cross to pay for your sins. Romans 5:8 says, "But God commended his love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." John 3:16 says "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life." Verse 17 says that "...God sent not his son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through him might be saved." God hates sin, and he won't allow it into his Heaven. But, he loves you and me so much, that he gave his only Son to die on the cross so that we could be with Him forever in Heaven. Jesus suffered incredible pain and torment just because he loved us. That's incredible to me, and if you really think about it, I think you too will see what an amazing sacrifice it was. He died on the cross, a horrible death, so that my sin and your sin could be paid for, and so that we could know for sure that we can go to Heaven. 4. After you understand that Jesus died on the cross to pay for your sins and mine, you must ask Him to forgive your sins and to come into your heart and to save you. Romans 10:10 says, "For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." Romans 10:13 says, "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." I John 1:9 says, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sin, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." God wants to save you. He loves you with all His heart, and He is just waiting for you to ask Him into your life. All you have to do is tell Him you are a sinner, ask Him to forgive your sin, and ask Him to come into your heart and save you. And you know what, He will! In fact, He wants that more than anything in the world. God wants everybody to go to Heaven when they die, and all you have to do is accept the free gift of Christ's death on the cross as payment for your sins, and you can be with Him forever. Isn't that amazing! The God of the Universe loves you and wants you in His family. Just ask him into your heart, and he will save you. 5. I've been a Christian since I was 9 years old. I can honestly say that God has been completely faithful throughout my life. He has blessed me beyond anything I could've ever dreamed. He provides for me every day of my life, and just having a personal relationship with Him makes life SO much better. God is incredible, and I really hope that you'll learn to see Him the same way I do, as an omnipotent being that loved me so much that he stretched his body over a cross and died for me. He did for me what I couldn't do for myself, and I'm forever grateful to Him for it. 6.
