"Who is Seven Day Jesus?", you might ask. Well, that is one question I can definitely answer for you. They are by far one of the best Christian bands out there, period. They are really, really good. You may have heard the very popular song, "Butterfly". That's Seven Day. If you haven't heard it, have no fear. I have the real audio clips from a bunch of their songs, so you can listen to them and see what I'm talking about. I had never even heard Seven Day other than the song "Butterfly" when I bought the cd, but after I heard them one time, I was hooked. They made several cd's before they signed with Forefront, and I must say that all I've heard from those albums is from sound clips on the internet. From what I've heard, some of their older stuff was, well, interesting. But, I do own their latest cd, which is simply entitled "Seven Day Jesus", and I can tell you that is one of the best Christian albums you'll be able to find. All the songs on it are so good. They are really upbeat and I consider it "happy music" cause it sounds to me like they're happy when they're singing. That's neither here nor there, but the fact of the matter remains that the album is amazing. I'm sure you'll be happy to know that it does contain the 2 most basic qualities necessary to be good Christian music! (refer back to the 1st music page if you forget what those are!) The guys have a great harmony together as singers, and their guitars are just awesome. And since there just isn't anything like a good hard guitar to make good music in my opinion, I was thrilled! It's also quite obviously Christian music, which is really cool in my opinion. The group decided on the name "Seven Day Jesus" because they said they want to live like Christ 7 days a week, not just on Sundays. That is awesome!! There's no doubt that these guys are real and that they really have something worth singing about. Their message ranges from wanting to become the new creation that Christ speaks of in "Butterfly", to the optimistic and Biblical outlook that all things work together for Christians in "Always comes around", to the way Christ deals with his children who are having trouble keeping up with His plan in "I will find you." All of their songs have a great message and an incredible sound, and that is 2 qualities that are hard to find put together these days. So, that's why you ought to jump on the cd next time you see it in a music store, okay? Great! I found some sound clips from SDJ for you so you can get a bit of a feel for what Seven Day Jesus is all about.
